Veterinary consultations
HOW WE CAN HELP

Care starts with a good conversation.

Each pet's needs are different. Your vet will recommend assessment and treatment based on their individual circumstances.

What to expect at a consultation

We'll ask about your pet's symptoms and medical history, carry out a suitable physical examination and discuss whether further tests or treatment would help.

Symptoms and illnesses

Appointments may cover vomiting, diarrhoea, coughing, changes in appetite or drinking, limping, skin problems and other new concerns.

Follow-up and ongoing care

We can review progress, medicines, test results and ongoing health issues, with referral when specialist or hospital care is more appropriate.

What to bring

Bring any previous records, vaccination details, current medicines and a note of when symptoms started. Photos or videos can help with signs that come and go.

Consultation fees

Our current standard consultation fee is NZ$85 incl. GST. NZ$135 applies to weekend walk-ins or same-day weekend bookings, and weekday walk-ins in the final hour before closing. Additional diagnostics, medicines and procedures are charged separately.

When to call urgently

If your pet is struggling to breathe, collapses, has severe bleeding or shows other emergency signs, phone the clinic first rather than waiting for an online booking.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is the consultation fee the total treatment cost?

No. The consultation covers the appointment itself. Tests, vaccines, medicines and procedures are separate unless part of a clearly described package.

Can I request a Chinese-speaking team member?

English and Chinese support may be available. Please mention your preferred language when booking.
