Soft-tissue surgery & mass removal

We assess selected wounds, abdominal and bladder problems, reproductive conditions and masses. Whether surgery can be performed here depends on the individual case.

HOW WE CAN HELP

The right treatment starts with a careful assessment.

Each pet's needs are different. Your vet will recommend assessment and treatment based on their individual circumstances.

Conditions we may assess

Examples include wounds, selected bladder/abdominal problems, gastrointestinal foreign bodies, hernias, pyometra and suitable skin or other masses.

When a referral may be better

Your pet's stability, imaging findings, anaesthetic risk, procedure complexity and available staff or equipment all affect whether surgery can be performed at our clinic.

Before surgery

The vet explains diagnosis, recommended laboratory or imaging tests, likely procedure, material risks, estimated cost and potential need for further intervention.

When an ultrasonic scalpel may be used

In suitable procedures, the surgeon may use an ultrasonic scalpel to cut tissue and seal small blood vessels. It does not replace clinical judgement or eliminate surgical risk.

Recovery and follow-up

Discharge plans may cover analgesia, medications, wound protection, activity restrictions, pathology, suture removal and rechecks.

Understand your options before deciding

Before consenting, please ask your vet about the procedure, important risks, possible additional tests and expected charges.

We listen — to you, and to them.
